I remember learning about major moments in history in school. I never thought about the leader’s experience so much as the everyday people and communities.

What would it have felt like to be them, just trying to get by and survive. I wondered what I would have done – what would have been the moment that forced me to act, and get involved? Or, would I have stayed silent, with too much to risk to speak up for what is right?

I raised my hand and ran for Congress because when those questions became real I knew I couldn’t leave my district behind.

That is why we’ve held over a hundred events virtually and across the district, speaking to all of you about your frustrations on the direction of the district and how we need real solutions for better jobs, health care and broadband.

My opponent is watching our every move, and what he sees scares him. He sees a community realizing that they deserve better and more active representation. He’s running poorly made attack ads because his record isn’t strong enough to stand on its own.

The district does deserve better. I promised to only ask you for money when it would truly make a difference. Well tonight is my final FEC quarterly deadline before the election. This means everything I have in the door by midnight will be public knowledge. We need 900 donors to be in a good spot. Donate now. [[link removed]]

We live in a moment where we can respond to the question of “what would we have done” with real answers – that we’ll have to justify to our children, grandchildren and those whose eyes years from now will question us the way we question the moments in our history books.

Let’s make them all proud together. Here’s the link to give: [link removed] [[link removed]]
