Today’s challenges need all our voices, Friend.
That’s why I’m running to be the next Liberal Member of Parliament for Toronto Centre. In communities all across Canada, we have an urgent task ahead of us to build the better and more inclusive future that our kids and grandkids deserve. I entered a new kind of public life this month because I want to lend my voice and hard work to that challenge – and because I know that Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team have a bold plan for action on health, the environment, the economy, equality, and so much more.
Throughout my career as a broadcaster, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with Canadians and striving to give a voice to those who haven’t been heard. Now more than ever, we need all Canadians’ voices reflected in building a future where everyone has an equal and fair chance at success.
Even in the early days of these important by-elections both in Toronto Centre, and with my friend and fellow candidate Ya’ara Saks in York Centre, I know we’ve both had incredible conversations with the people in our communities about our work to move Canada forward – even as we campaign at safe distances and online! And I also know that we both can’t wait to bring our communities’ voices to Parliament and help ensure that we continue to have Canadians’ backs in the months and years to come.
Right now, our Liberal team is also coming up on our crucial end-of-Q3 grassroots fundraising deadline. By chipping in today, you’ll be ensuring that teams like mine have the tools and resources needed to run competitive campaigns whenever required (including before our October 26 by-election!), and you’ll be supporting the work of volunteers and organizers who are working hard to support our progress in every part of Canada.
