Send a message to Congress now to support the EACH Woman Act.
ACLU Supporter –
In the wake of the tragic passing of Justice Ginsburg and the recent nomination for her replacement, we know the future of Roe v. Wade is under threat and the fight to protect reproductive freedom is incredibly urgent.
Even with Roe in place, too many have faced unfair barriers to abortion care for decades due to the Hyde Amendment, which has denied coverage for abortion care to those enrolled in Medicaid.
It's clear: It's up to all of us who care about abortion, gender equity, and racial justice to do all we can to secure our freedoms. That's why for the Hyde Amendment's 44th anniversary today, we're focused on one thing: putting this discriminatory abortion coverage ban to an end.
The EACH Woman Act will do exactly that. So please, take action with us: Send a message to your representative urging them to support the EACH Woman Act and end Hyde once and for all.

For 44 years now, the Hyde Amendment has cut off access to abortion for people enrolled in Medicaid and other insurance programs – pushing care out of reach for people struggling to make ends meet, disproportionately women of color.
Abortion access should never depend on where you live or how much you make. Yet Congress has continued to pass federal spending bills that include this harmful coverage ban again and again. The EACH Woman Act would lift those restrictions.
It would ensure equitable abortion coverage so that everyone can make their own decisions about whether to continue a pregnancy – regardless of income or insurance. Whether you live in Kentucky or New York, each and every one of us should have access to full coverage for pregnancy-related care. That includes getting an abortion.
ACLU Supporter, we can't afford to wait another 44 years. We need to build momentum and support for ending abortion coverage bans today. It's time to end the shameful legacy of the Hyde Amendment: Send your message to your representative today and urge them to support the EACH Woman Act.
