** In a new record, Joe goes from "the Green New Deal will pay for itself" to "I don't support it" in under 60 seconds.
------------------------------------------------------------
Washington Times ([link removed]) (9/29/20) reports: "The Green New Deal was back on the front burner Tuesday after Democratic presidential nominee Joseph R. Biden said that he doesn’t support the ambitious climate plan, immediately both before and after defending it. During the presidential debate, Mr. Biden said, 'The Green New Deal is not my plan.' But a moment later, he said: 'The Green New Deal will pay for itself as we move forward. You’re not going to build plants that in fact are great polluting plants. Moderator Chris Wallace interrupted, saying, 'You support the Green New Deal?' Mr. Biden replied: 'No, I don’t support the Green New Deal.'...Mr. Biden’s running mate, Sen. Kamala D. Harris, is a cosponsor of the Green New Deal resolution in the Senate, the companion to the measure introduced by Ms. Ocasio-Cortez in the House. The Biden campaign website says, 'Biden believes the Green New Deal is a
crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face,' although Mr. Biden’s $2 trillion climate plan is less ambitious than Ms. Ocasio-Cortez’s plan."

"He’s talking about the Green New Deal. And it’s not 2 billion or 20 billion, as you said. It’s $100 trillion."

(9/29/20) reports: "The Trump administration halted select funds to environmental organizations, which have reportedly used U.S. taxpayer money to indirectly fund alleged human rights violations, according to an internal memo. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) both reportedly used U.S. government grants to fund security forces who allegedly murdered, raped, tortured and abused locals, the memo said. About half of the $333 million WWF received and at least $19 million WCS received were put towards grants which funded these security forces, according to the Department of the Interior memo. 'Our job in the federal government is to ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and spent wisely,' DOI Deputy Secretary Kate MacGregor told the DCNF. 'I don’t think the American people want to see that their tax dollars have been awarded out to organizations that have in any way been apart of any atrocities.'"

(9/21/20) reports: "Texas Central Railroad celebrated a victory Monday as its bullet train project that will ultimately span 240 miles from Dallas to Houston received federal approval. The go-ahead stamp has the full attention of landowners along the train’s route who have been fighting the project for years. One on the edge of Ennis in Ellis County, Carma Sullivan told WFAA that Monday’s approval is not where the fight ends...Sullivan lives on thousands of acres of farmland that’s been in her husband’s family for 140 years, dating back to 1880. To this day, seven full-time farmers still grow cotton there. Sullivan takes pride in the roving stretch of tranquility, telling WFAA that her family is on its sixth generation of farmers. 'We do it because of our love for the land and our love for agriculture,' Sullivan said. 'That’s why we’re here, and why we want to stay here.' If the bullet train is built, a few miles of its route would run through the Sullivan family’s property—dividing parts
of the land which would make it difficult to farm and see relatives."
