Anonymous,
We need to move quickly if we're going to avoid losing one of the last truly wild places our country has left.
The Trump administration just gutted protections for the Tongass National Forest, opening the door for logging companies to cut roads through the ancient trees and begin clear-cutting previously protected areas. If we don't reverse this, trees will soon start falling in the world's largest intact temperate rainforest.
Environment Colorado and our national network are preparing to go to court to stop the destruction before it starts. Donate before midnight tonight to help support our campaign to save the Tongass.

The Tongass is truly irreplaceable.
Some of the forest's towering trees are older than America itself. These giants, centuries old, shelter wolves, moose, bears, and the world's largest concentration of nesting bald eagles.[1] The trees also protect our climate by trapping massive amounts of carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen.
For decades, the Roadless Rule protected more than 9 million acres of this incredible place by forbidding logging and road construction.[2] But now, the Tongass is exempt from this vital protection -- unless we do something about it.
We can't let the Trump administration clear-cut critical old-growth habitat.
Donate before the midnight deadline to support Environment Colorado's campaign to protect the Tongass.

Twenty years ago, our national network was a vital part of winning Roadless Rule protections for the Tongass -- and we aren't going to abandon the forest now.
We've stood up for the Tongass every time it's come under threat. Together, we've submitted thousands of public comments opposing logging projects and advocated for legislation to permanently protect the Tongass.
Now, we're getting ready to go to court to make sure this irreplaceable forest gets the protection it deserves.
Help us protect the Tongass with a donation before tonight's deadline.
