John, I’m calling an emergency budget meeting this afternoon because I’m getting increasingly worried that we’ll miss our FEC deadline tonight.

This goal is the most important test our campaign has yet to face. Once we close the books tonight, our numbers will go public. Which means, this is one of our last chances to prove how strong this team is before Election Day.

But right now, we’re nowhere near to our goal and without a surge of grassroots donations in the next couple of hours, we just won’t have the funds to combat the GOP’s attacks in these final weeks.
