Last summer, SCOTUS ruled that federal courts won't limit partisan gerrymandering. This year, the court allowed a ruling to stand that Floridians with former felony convictions are to pay fines before voting -- essentially a modern-day poll tax.

Now Trump has nominated a third, and potentially more extreme, justice to the bench, a move that could undermine our elections for a generation. This latest development makes evident what A.G. Holder has been saying for years: We can't rely on a single court decision to end voter suppression and partisan gerrymandering. Instead, we have to go state-by-state to fight it. Will you chip in today to help the NDRC invest in target states this fall?

Going state-by-state means flipping state legislatures across the country so Democrats have a seat at the table during redistricting. These elections will shape the balance of power in our country for the next ten years.

The NDRC has already invested more than $2.5 million in its target states, but in the battle for key state legislatures, Democrats are still trailing the Republican's fundraising machine.
