John,

This is an exponentially expanding direct assault on Christianity.

Turkey is purging Christians and turning a historic church into an Islamic mosque.

Turkey’s President Erdogan has recently reconverted Hagia Sophia – a U.N. World Heritage Site that was built as a Christian church about 500 years after Christ walked among us – from a museum into an Islamic mosque. Its mosaics – the story of the Gospel – are being covered up or even sandblasted.

At the same time, Turkey has been expelling Christian missionaries for supposedly threatening public order.

Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood have already cheered this. Turkey has even said that Athens, Greece, “is next” and then Al-Aqsa (the Temple Mount) in Jerusalem, Israel.

This is a symbol of Islam conquering Christianity – JIHAD.

We’ve dealt with Turkey’s persecution of Christians, freeing American Pastor Andrew Brunson from years of wrongful imprisonment.

We must not tolerate the eradication of the Christian faith. This Christian church must not be erased.

We’re mobilizing our legal and Government Affairs teams to fight back. TODAY, we are making a critical oral intervention at the U.N., urging international pressure on Turkey to protect this historic Christian church. Take action with us.
