People’s Action is making history. Will you join us?
Last month, our direct action prompted the American Medical Association to drop out of the Partnership for America’s Health Care Future, a shadow lobby created to block Medicare For All.
This week, we released a plan to end our nation’s housing crisis, which has made millions of families and individuals homeless, and millions more one bill away from the street.
And in two weeks, we’ll host a forum in Iowa – the first of four across the nation - where leading presidential candidates will answer to our members about how they’ll commit to create a future with good jobs, health care and a clean environment.
In each of these actions, it’s real people who ask the questions and demand answers. That’s the People’s Action way.
At People’s Action, we believe the people closest to problems are closest to the solutions. People like Reggie Griffin, the Chicago retiree who took over the floor of the AMA’s convention in Chicago. And Vernell Robinson, the public housing tenant from Queens who led the first-ever Homes Guarantee briefing on Capitol Hill. And Barb Kalbach, a family farmer in Iowa who will hold candidates to account in Des Moines.
Reggie, Vernell and Barb ARE People’s Action. Their struggles are our struggles. Our work is to support them, and advance solutions to the problems they face.
The People’s Action difference? Our solutions are their solutions: real solutions for real people. In every case, it’s People’s Action members and our member-driven organizations who lead the way, with answers to the problems they know best.
Our actions are bold, and they get results. We can win, and we will. But we can only do it with your help.
