What we can do next:

Dear Friend,

Like many of you, I spent the last week mourning the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. That grief took on urgency over the weekend when the President nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace RBG’s position on the Supreme Court. This week, she is meeting with members of the Senate. If Judge Barrett is confirmed, the Court will almost certainly have a super majority of conservative judges who are likely to rule against the LGBTQ community and against immigrants. That means it is time to act.
Call your Senator to tell them not to confirm Judge Barrett! ([link removed])

If the Supreme Court shifts to the right, one of the most powerful outlets of justice in the United States may be closed to us for years to come. While we may continue to win victories in the lower courts, the prospect of a 6-3 conservative majority in the highest court makes the results of the November elections even more important.

To be clear, there is always a pathway to victory. There are millions of people like you and me standing up for what is right every day. Taking action matters, whether it’s by voting, marching through the streets, or supporting organizations like Immigration Equality.
Help us keep fighting! ([link removed])
To ensure progress, we must push on all possible fronts at all times. And whatever happens, Immigration Equality is ready to fight for our community. We have a 25-year track record of success, and because of supporters like you, I know we will persevere.

Sincerely,

Aaron C. Morris
