This morning, we got some outrageous news: It turns out that Cindy Hyde-Smith used Russian, Ukrainian, Canadian, and South African models in her latest campaign ad.

The ad is made from stitched-together, foreign-produced stock footage — not footage of actual Mississippians. I mean, I’m glad this person’s shop is back open, but it’s definitely not located anywhere here in Mississippi.

The irony is just astounding. Senator Hyde-Smith claims “to represent all Mississippians” in a campaign ad that fails to feature a single Mississippian, other than herself!

Mississippi deserves better leadership — and we both know Mike Espy has what it takes to represent ALL Mississippians. Will you please chip in $10 to our campaign before our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline? [[link removed]]

Now, I don’t mean to brag, but Mike’s television ads feature folks who are actually from Mississippi . In fact, just today we launched our latest TV ad that uplifts Mississippians from across the state (you can watch it here) [[link removed]] .

Our ad features Ms. Killebrew, a public school teacher from Madison County. She supports Mike because she knows Mike is for increasing school funding and teachers. We’ve got Dr. Quinn, a family physician dedicated to serving his community. Dr. Inez Kelleher is an orthopedic surgeon from the Coast who’s backing Mike because of his commitment to expand affordable health care in our state. And Cliff is a Republican farmer, who knows Mike has what it takes to work with others.

This news about Cindy Hyde-Smith’s stock footage ad makes it all the more clear: If you want a real leader who will listen to the people and move Mississippi forward, Mike Espy is your candidate.
