This is just not okay.
Steve King, a Representative from Iowa, recently visited an immigrant detention center near our district. Conditions in these detention centers are so bad that the guards tell the people held there to drink from the toilet when they get thirsty.
During King’s visit, he decided to drink from one of the water fountain-toilet hybrids and cheerfully said “it was actually pretty good…I smacked my lips!”
These foul conditions are not a joke — they’re the harsh, cruel reality for so many migrant families across Texas. Jessica Cisneros is an immigration attorney who grew up here in Laredo, and the daughter of Mexican immigrants. She’s running for Congress because we need someone in Washington who will fight against these harsh conditions for immigrants in our community.
Cuellar’s voting record is far from reflecting the needs of this district. His voting record isn’t “bipartisan” — it’s bought by his corporate backers. Will you donate $3 to our campaign to put Jessica in Congress so she can bring about real change to our broken immigration system?

Jessica’s opponent Henry Cuellar may not be drinking toilet water — but he’s taking money from GEO Group PAC, which profits off of private prisons and detention centers.
We need your help to replace Congresspeople like Steve King and Henry Cuellar with people like Jessica, who will come in and fight for immigrant justice.
Help us put Jessica in Congress so we can protect and support our immigrant friends and neighbors.
