Alliance Defending Freedom

Dear John,

Have you been feeling discouraged?

It’s difficult to look at what is currently unfolding in our country’s culture and not feel this way.

Many Americans have stopped going to church and believing in God. They’ve embraced a “cancel” culture. Women are disrespected and objectified. And the family—the foundation of every successful civilization in the world’s history—is being attacked and diminished.

Ideas have consequences. Bad ideas have victims. And we are now reaping the rewards from decades of bad ideas, including those spawned by the sexual revolution.

And yet, I can see so many reasons to be joyful.

Every day when I go to work, I clearly see God’s hand working through the amazing clients that Alliance Defending Freedom represents, especially those who find themselves at the U.S. Supreme Court.

These people are normal, everyday Americans. They never imagined themselves standing before the nation’s highest court to take a brave stand for religious freedom.

But thanks to God’s provision and the generosity of people like you, ADF has been blessed with opportunities to advocate for our freedoms at the Supreme Court for several clients:
  • Barronelle Stutzman is waiting for a second time to see if the high court will hear her case. A floral artist from Washington state, Barronelle is asking the Court to protect her freedom to live and work consistently with her religious beliefs.

  • Chike Uzuegbunam is waiting for the Supreme Court to hear oral arguments in his case. Chike is seeking justice after his college censored him for sharing the Gospel on campus..

  • Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) is waiting to see if the Supreme Court will grant its case. This nonprofit law firm that advocates for religious freedom, the sanctity of life, and family values is being forced by the state of California to disclose the private information of its donors, people who may be bullied and harassed for their support of TMLC.
You can read our report about how your gifts have had an impact at the Supreme Court here.

While many things may seem bleak, I find our clients’ stand so encouraging. And I find your stand encouraging too. With your steadfast prayers and support, ADF has become one of the most successful U.S. Supreme Court advocates with 11 wins at the high court since 2011.

Every case at the Supreme Court is an important opportunity to protect your God-given freedoms. Would you consider standing for freedom by making a gift today?

Thank you for your generosity!
