I’m going to be honest: these are scary times for our democracy. We have a president who seems to be intent on doing all he can to use the mechanisms of government to boost his own electoral chances, who is casting doubt on the legitimacy of the election and who refuses to commit to a peaceful transition of power. We have an Attorney General who is more committed to protecting the president than he is to equal justice under the law. And we have an administration that has taken the lead from the president: his corruption and racism have pervaded agencies throughout the government, and we’ve seen an unprecedented stonewalling of basic transparency and accountability.
But here at CREW, we’re committed to keeping up the fight, no matter what. From taking hundreds of legal actions during the Trump administration, to tracking and raising the alarm about unprecedented corruption, to advising Congress on critical reforms—we’ve been fighting on all fronts, and we’ll continue the fight for as long as it takes.
