Dear John,
With the pandemic raging, the economy in shambles, and the continued violence and injustice Black and brown Americans are facing every day, the stakes of this election were already unfathomably high. And now President Trump has moved to rush a new Supreme Court justice through the confirmation process to fill Justice Bader Ginsburg’s seat—before voters even get their say.
There is simply so much to process right now, and so much we need to hear on that debate stage tonight. To help us guide our response, we want to know:
What is the number-one issue you want to hear about during tonight’s debate? By answering, you’ll join the National Women’s Law Center Action Fund, and be part of our election fight on the front lines.
To ensure that we have as much of a voice as possible in this election, the Law Center has relaunched our 501(c)(4), which allows us to turbocharge our advocacy and organizing efforts between now and November. Will you join us? Answer our pre-debate poll to join the NWLC Action Fund.
Even as millions of working families are struggling, having lost their jobs, child care, housing, and even loved ones to COVID-19, President Trump is prioritizing appointing a justice who will roll back health care access for millions of Americans. It is absolutely crucial that we fight back in whatever way we can, and we can’t do that without you with us in the weeks to come.
Please let us know what your priorities are for tonight’s debate, and join us in the fight ahead.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Anna Chu
