Hi John,

Voting has already started for the 2020 presidential election, and tonight is a big moment: voters across the country will watch the first of the debates to decide who will become our next president.

Each and every day, we’re seeing young people engaging in the fights that matter. From the multiracial youth movement for Black lives led by BIPOC young people, to the trans leadership in the LGBTQ+ movement for inclusion, protection, and progress, to the fight across the country to ensure a free and fair election, a diverse coalition of LGBTQ+ folx are on the front lines for social justice, inclusion, and equality.

Don’t miss out on this election. Are you registered to vote? Check your registration status, register, and make a plan to vote now. [[link removed]]

When the LGTBQ+ community votes, we vote for the world we want to live in. The beautiful diversity of our movement means that, with all our collective efforts, we can help protect BIPOC communities, create spaces that welcome and affirm LGBTQ+ individuals, and allow each and every one of us to cast our ballots with faith that they will be counted and our political power will be recognized. And we know that LGBTQ+ youth are already tremendously civically engaged — so let’s make sure we’re bringing this power to the election!

[[link removed]]We know that so many of our rights are on the line this year — from voting rights to access to health care, trans inclusion to the economy, the future of our environment to marriage, that it’s up to us and our communities to use our power to vote and decide who gets to represent us. And once they are elected — it’s important that we stay in the fight — to make sure that they are accountable to our community’s agenda.

Let’s mobilize! Take a minute to register to vote and make a plan to vote. [[link removed]] Then make sure your friends, family, and community are registered to vote too. We have the power to make change and fight for LGBTQ+ youth, together — let’s use it.

Thanks,
