Friends,

I was incredibly excited to join the President of Emerge, A’shanti Gholar, for a conversation on why leaders matter earlier this year.

But before I tell you more about the importance of Emerge’s work, I wanted to let you know that they’re facing a critical end-of-month deadline tomorrow. If you’re able, please rush a donation to Emerge to continue their groundbreaking trainings for Democratic women across the country.

The groundwork they are laying by building the pipeline of leadership will make a difference in states like Georgia, which has traditionally been a GOP firewall — until this year.

And, I couldn’t be more excited for Emerge alum Sara Gideon, who is running against Susan Collins in Maine, to (hopefully) join me in the Senate next year because I’ve seen how having more women shapes decision making and leadership for the better.

I know the United States Senate is a better place when we have a diversity of voices at the table, and I can’t understate the importance of Emerge’s mission bringing more women into the fold of power.

That’s why I’m hoping you’ll join me by making a contribution today to support this critical work and help them hit their $25,000 September goal before tomorrow at midnight. [link removed]

If we’re going to change the face of who represents us at every level of government, we must continue to recruit, train, and support women running across the country.

This email was sent to [email protected]. Emerge is a national organization working to recruit, train, and get Democratic women elected across the country, and we are so grateful to have you on our team. Our alums are strong voices for Democratic values — and they are working to bring their values up and down the ballot to fight for working families. They are fighting for critical issues that affect our communities like the environment, accessible and affordable healthcare, social justice and education equity. We need more alums fighting for us across the country.

Email is the best way for us to keep you informed about what’s happening with our work. You may notice that we send a lot of emails asking for your support—that’s because we win when everyone does what they can to help. Our organization depends on thousands of actual people who care about our democracy and want to see positive change in our communities and across our country by building power through investing in Democratic women.
