John,

Growing up in Lexington, I learned the value of hard work and public service. It’s why I served in the state Senate and volunteered for the Army Reserve after 9/11. I’ve also had the honor of serving my community and our state on various boards and organizations, including the North Carolina League of Conservation Voters’ board of directors.

I was honored to have a small role in shaping the organization’s work. NCLCV and its members like you have a tremendous impact on the direction of our state. NCLCV keeps score, and legislators know it.

I’m excited that I’ll be back with you for the Green Tie Awards on October 7. I’m sad we can’t see each other in person this year, but I’ll be zooming in live to talk with you about what’s at stake for our state in November.

Will you join me for this conversation, John? »

From coal ash to GenX to hurricanes, North Carolina is on the front lines of the climate crisis and the environmental issues facing this country.

Unfortunately, the General Assembly has been a roadblock to state-based efforts to combat climate change. Gov. Cooper needs NCLCV’s Green Caucus to be in the majority, so he can make progress on climate change by investing in clean energy jobs and technology, while holding bad actors accountable.

When you join us for the Green Tie event, you’ll hear about the work NCLCV is doing to make that happen and how you can be a part of it.

You’ll also get to talk with Sen. Cory Booker, Gov. Cooper, the Green Tie Award winners, and NCLCV staff. Make sure you reserve your spot at the table, John! ⬇️

See you on the 7th!
