Dear friend,

“After years of documenting the terrible toll of this war, no one
can say ‘we did not know what was happening in Yemen’.
Accountability is key to ensure that justice is served to the
people of Yemen and to humanity.”

This is the message for the world today at the UN Human Rights
Council, as the 'Group of Experts' on Yemen makes its report.

Can you email your MP today

, to make sure the UK government gets this vital message?

In July, the UK government resumed issuing new export licences
for the supply of further weapons to the war in Yemen. This is on
top of the more than £15 billion of arms that have already been
sold since the start of the war. These sales have continued
despite the central role that UK-made fighter-jets, bombs and
missiles are playing in this devastating war.

The UK government justified providing arms by claiming that war
crimes committed in the attacks on Yemen are "isolated
incidents”.

But today the UN group of experts on Yemen “repeats its concern
about third States transferring arms to parties to the conflict
in Yemen in blatant disregard of the documented patterns of
serious violations of International Humanitarian Law and human
rights law in the conflict to date.”

Please make sure that your MP knows about this report, which directly
contradicts the government’s claims.

Please make sure that our representatives cannot say ‘we did not
know what was happening in Yemen.’
