Hello there,

Earlier this month, our state and our country were on fire -- literally.

And as the West Coast burned, my opponent was touting outrageous conspiracy theories while outright refusing to acknowledge the effects of climate change.

Luckily, these fires may have subsided, but without taking proper action, there will only be more to come -- and preventing them is not something anyone alone can do.

Practicing personal fire safety is essential -- so is enacting climate change legislation that protects our environment and slows the effects of this devastating climate crisis that makes wildfires, hurricanes, and more much worse.

We can't prevent forest fires if your government isn't willing to tackle human-caused climate change head on.

Washington deserves a representative that understands that climate change is a serious threat to our way of life, our economy, and our children. They deserve a representative who will fight for clean energy and science-based solutions for Americans across the country and right here in the first district.

That's what I'm in Congress to do. But I need your help to stay there and to keep fighting for our environment, our planet, our communities.
