This year has shined a bright light on the massive economic inequality in this country, and we cannot trust John Katko to do a thing about it. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Dana Balter for Congress

Friend,

On Sunday, The New York Times released a bombshell report about Donald Trump's long-sought tax returns. Trump paid only $750 in income taxes in 2016 and 2017 -- and ZERO dollars in ten of the last 15 years.

The New York Times: LONG-CONCEALED RECORDS SHOW TRUMP’S CHRONIC LOSSES AND YEARS OF TAX AVOIDANCE

It's outrageous that someone like Donald Trump could pay less in taxes than most working families. But that's what happens when special interests -- not the people -- dominate our political system. The people with wealth and power write the rules to increase their wealth and power. Donald Trump has been gaming the system for decades, and John Katko is now helping him do it.

John Katko voted to perpetuate this unequal system when he voted for the GOP tax scam in 2017. That legislation gave a massive tax break to Donald Trump and his corporate cronies and left working families footing the bill, in part by putting our Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block.

This year has shined a bright light on the massive economic inequality in our country, and we cannot trust John Katko to do a thing about it.

Dana's running a campaign for the people and by the people. Unlike John Katko, she's not taking a penny of corporate PAC money -- because the special interests' days of buying off politicians and rigging the system need to end.

Our end-of-quarter deadline is tomorrow, and we're counting on grassroots donors like you to help us reach our goal. So will you pitch in any amount now? We're still $7,027 short of our goal.
