It’s been almost a decade since President Obama signed the historic ACA (Affordable Care Act) into law, but the fight to provide equal and affordable access to healthcare continues.
This week, the ACA heads to court yet again, this time in Texas v. the United States, as opponents try to prove it unconstitutional and fight to take away our rights - the rights of 30 million Americans.
The stakes could not be higher. If extremists on the right get their way, millions of Americans will be in jeopardy of losing their coverage - including those with chronic diseases like diabetes or pre-existing conditions like cancer, or those dependent on Medicare or Medicaid like our elders and veterans.
