NPR: Upcoming debates could be Castro's last

I need to level with you:

-- I was the final candidate to make the cut for this week's debate
-- NPR just warned this round of debates could be my last
-- But I have every intention of proving them wrong

I'm fighting for a spot in the next round against extremely wealthy candidates -- who are spending millions of their personal money to fast-track their way ahead of me.

But I wasn't born a frontrunner. I've worked hard for everything I've ever earned. And I haven't taken a cent from PACs, wealthy fossil fuel execs, or corporations to meet the debate criteria. It would mean so much to me if I could count on your $15 to get a head start on the next donor threshold instead. >>

I didn't have the luxury of growing up a frontrunner.

I've never taken a shortcut to success.

I don't have billions in personal wealth to blanket my message to voters.

What I do have is a unifying message, a bold vision for this country, and millions of Americans counting on me to fight for them when no one else will.

Which is why I'm not taking any chances with the next debate threshold. We've come too far to barely make the next cut again.

So I'm humbly asking: Before midnight, can I count on your $15 to meet the looming donor threshold for the next round of debates?

I know every dollar is precious to you. I wouldn't ask if I wasn't truly relying on your support.
