In just a moment, I am going to ask you to split a contribution between my campaign for Senate and Maggie Hassan. Please give me a chance to explain why this request is so important.

This month, we set our biggest fundraising goal ever, 400,000 contributions, and we need to make sure we hit this goal because Mitch McConnell has pledged to spend millions on ads in Arizona against me and our campaign.

He has the money to keep these ads running right up until Election Day and we can't afford to let his attacks on us go unanswered -- we need to set the record straight.
