In 2012 when I helped prepare then Vice President Joe Biden for
his critical debate with Paul Ryan we focused on countering
Ryan's economic arguments and policy positions. Tonight's debate
could not be more different.

When Joe Biden gets onto the stage he will face an opponent whose
main currency is lies and personal attacks, not facts or policy
positions. Donald Trump, as we know, will say and do just about
anything and has no fear of being held to account for this
behavior.

Sadly for our country the Paul Ryan's of this world decided
early-on to hitch their wagons to this destructive President --
and the Republican party has now become his mirror image.

That's why it's so critical that we not only defeat Trump, but
take back the Senate from Mitch McConnell so we can begin to
address the urgent needs facing our country. Can you chip in
whatever you can, before our last quarterly FEC deadline before
the election, to help fund our critical efforts to beat Trump and
take back the Senate in November?

Over the last three years Senate Republicans have shown us
exactly who they are -- both through their actions and failures to
act.

In their ideal world, we would live in a country where voting
rights, civil rights, and the right to reproductive choice are
not protected.

They are comfortable with an America with a broken middle class
with no healthcare in the middle of the worst pandemic in a
century.

That's why it's so critical Democrats win the Senate in November.
