Hi John,
I don't know about you, but I am ready to fight like hell.

Run for Something (The Podcast)
New episodes every Tuesday
Last week, we linked up with Dr. Ravi Grivois-Shah, a young progressive running for a seat on the Tucson Unified School District board. Dr. Grivois-Shah is a family physician and associate professor at the University of Arizona, a son of immigrants, and -- along with his husband -- a father to three kids.
In his episode, we dive into why you should care about school boards and why ensuring young progressives have a seat at the table is so important for our communities.
And out today, you can hear our interview with Madison City Alderperson Max Prestigiacomo, Democratic nominee for WI state Assembly Francesca Hong, and activist Nada Elmikashfi -- all folks we endorsed. We talk about the protest movement in Wisconsin over the summer, what it means to be a politician, and how they reconcile the tension between fighting on the inside and fighting on the outside.
It's a heavy conversation, but also a hopeful one -- and particularly relevant in light of a grand jury's failure to indict Breonna Taylor's murderers in Kentucky last week.

Unapologetically Progressive: Arizona
October 1st, 6:00 p.m. PT (9:00 p.m. ET)
Arizona is going from deep red to blue in a very short time. Democrats flipped a U.S. Senate seat there in 2018 with Kyrsten Sinema, Mark Kelly is poised to flip the other seat, and Joe Biden is nine points ahead of Trump in one recent poll.
But guess what? As far as sustainable political power goes, none of this matters if we don't take back the state House and state Senate.
Why? Because if Arizona Republicans are able to maintain control of the state legislatures, they'll be able to gerrymander the hell out of districts and ensure that Democrats are locked out of power for the next 10 years. Mark Kelly and Joe Biden may win, but if we don't draw fair maps after redistricting, our national victory could be a small blip on the radar of electoral history.
Now here's where it gets exciting. Look at how CLOSE we are to breaking the Republican majority in state Senate and House:
The balance of power in the state can be tipped in BOTH chambers by a matter of 2-3 seats. Republicans have a razor-thin lead that we can definitely overcome with some hard work.
That's exactly what we'll be talking about in tomorrow's episode of Unapologetically Progressive.
We'll meet young progressives on the ground who are working to build sustainable, permanent power in this swing state and give Arizonans the representation they deserve.
Sign up now to save your (FREE!) spot and learn about their critical races and how you can help them flip the state blue!
This event is free!
