With just 35 days left until Election Day, I wanted to offer you a quick glimpse at what’s happening on the ground. We set out with a goal to bring hope to rural Missourians for a future with healthcare for all, strong union jobs, and a healthy environment for our children. We prioritized long-term investments in rural organizing over out-of-state political consultants. We prioritized honest, sincere voter outreach over the typical, one-sided messaging blasts we often see campaigns do. And our work is truly paying off.

In just the last few weeks, we’ve reached thousands of voters in Missouri’s 8th District through texting, calling, and contactless canvassing. We’ve launched our first ad into the District [[link removed]] , we’ve continued to host virtual, public town halls, and we’ve received the endorsement of some of the largest national groups in politics. And here’s what we’re hearing:

“I’ve voted Republican for many cycles, but I’ve decided to give Kathy my vote.”
“You’re the only campaign who bothered to reach out to me.”
“I’ve been so worried about my union pensions. I’m glad to hear Kathy is pro-union.”
“I’ve decided to vote blue up and down the ballot.”

This is why rural races matter. We’re able to reach folks who have been disenfranchised for years - in some cases, decades - and have never been contacted by a campaign before. We’re having honest conversations with them about the issues that keep them up at night, and we’re finding that momentum is growing, and it’s on our side.
