** Which is more likely? Hunter shows up to the debate tonight, or the 'principled' greens call out Biden's corruption?
------------------------------------------------------------
Master Resource ([link removed]) (9/28/20) blog: "MasterResource in vain has tried to uncover evidence of the energy knowledge and industry experience of Robert Hunter Biden through a Call for Information, issued October 23, 2019, and again September 1, 2020. So where are the environmental groups who despise fossil-fuel cronyism? Back in 2019 when Biden was running for the Presidential nomination of the Democrat party, Dino Grandoni of the Washington Post (republished by The Seattle Times) documented their angst. Excerpts from Grandoni’s article, which should be part of the political debate today, follow: Environmental groups, which are increasingly opposed to all fossil fuels at a time of heightened concern about climate change, are split over how to respond to the fact that a leading presidential candidate’s son worked in the natural gas business. And Hunter Biden’s work has put some of the former vice president’s 2020
rivals in the awkward position of responding to whether they would want members of their own vice president’s family to work at a foreign energy company."

** "California’s record of rolling blackouts—unprecedented in size and scope—coupled with recent requests to neighboring states for power begs the question of how you expect to run an electric car fleet that will come with significant increases in electricity demand, when you can’t even keep the lights on today."

Save the coasts!

(9/28/20) reports: "President Donald Trump’s decision to rule out energy development along the coasts of Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas will bar not just offshore oil and gas drilling -- but coastal wind farms too. The broad reach of Trump’s recent orders, which was confirmed by the Interior Department agency that oversees offshore energy development, comes as renewable developers are spending hundreds of millions of dollars snapping up the rights to build wind farms along the U.S. East Coast. At issue are recent Trump memos ruling out new oil and gas leasing along Florida, Georgia and South and North Carolina from July 1, 2022 until June 30, 2032, issued after some Republicans pressed for a drilling ban and as the president courts voters concerned about the environment. On Friday, Trump said he would expand the offshore energy moratorium to include Virginia, though he has not yet issued a directive encompassing the territory. On the campaign trail, Trump highlighted his moves as a way
to block offshore oil and gas drilling, even though the orders will affect future sale of renewable energy rights in U.S. coastal waters too."
Save California!

(9/25/20) column: "The working class, which still constitutes a supermajority of California’s voters, is being destroyed by the policies enacted by the Democratic party. This is why political realignment in California can happen fast. In three fundamental areas, public education, land use, and energy infrastructure, California’s current policies are destroying lives, livelihoods, and land. And in all three of these areas, the solutions that will work challenge core premises that California’s Democrats have relied on to claim the moral high ground. But these premises must be defied, because Democrats do not hold the moral high ground. They are ruining everything, from our cities to our forests. How can that be moral?...California’s ruling elite has decided that its citizens will bear the brunt of being the bleeding edge of a global transition to “renewable” energy. But by forcing this advance via government decree, they risk impoverishing a generation merely to leave a legacy of obsolete
technologies. A perfect example is Governor Newsom’s recent decree that new gasoline powered cars cannot be sold in the state after 2035, a mere 14 years from today. What if technologies are found to make gasoline powered cars even cleaner? Or what about natural gas powered cars?"

(9/15/20) column: "Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden just can't get his story straight on his green energy promises. In Pittsburgh, in front of union workers last month, he declared: 'I am not banning fracking. Let me say that again. I am not banning fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.' But that is far from what he was saying earlier this year. During a March Democratic primary debate exchange between Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Biden, Sanders started by saying: 'I'm talking about stopping fracking as soon as we possibly can. I'm talking about telling the fossil fuel industry that they are going to stop destroying this planet -- no ifs, buts and maybes about it.' 'So am I,' Biden replied. After that famous Biden-Sanders debate, the Biden campaign issued a retraction, meaning this isn't really what the former vice president meant to say. And, admittedly, he's older; he loses his train of thought; he can't be expected to remember his latest official
position on fracking every week. His latest flip and flop is no drilling permits on federal lands."
