John,

Our Sacramento sources tell us that two of NPH's Priority Bills could be voted on as early as Monday so it's all hands on deck! We need you to take two minutes this weekend to urge your Senator to support AB 1486 and AB 1487!

The legislative session ends in less than one week. We have a unique opportunity right now to pass crucial NPH Priority Bills that could make a difference for affordable housing availability in our Bay Area communities and across California.

Can you take just two minutes to voice your support for AB 1486 and AB 1487? Find details and everything you need below.

AB 1486: Would strengthen the state's Surplus Land Act to transform unused public land into a public good, making more public land available for affordable homes and open spaces that benefit our communities.

This bill has moved out of the Senate Appropriations Committee and is headed to the Senate floor for a vote!

Urge your Senator to support AB 1486!

AB 1487: Would allow the Bay Area to pursue regional solutions to increase affordable homes and protections for longtime residents.

Yesterday, this bill moved out of the Senate Governance and Finance Committee and is headed to the Senate floor for a vote!

Urge your Senator to support AB 1487!

SUCCESS: Your tireless efforts DO pay off!
SB 330 is on its way to the Governor's desk for a signature!

This bill will advance affordable housing production goals by establishing consistent rules and regulations for local governements to create more home options and opportunities for our community members.

Thank you for taking the time today on this critical action for affordable housing! We really appreciate all that you do!

In Solidarity,

JR Starrett
NPH Director of Advocacy and Community Engagement
