New details on Trump’s tax avoidance from the New York Times

Team —

It’s like we all suspected: The New York Times just released a scathing new article revealing how little President Trump has paid in taxes over the years.

It turns out Trump paid only $750 in 2016 and then another $750 in 2017 for federal income taxes. Yup, that’s it. You probably paid more than he did.

And for ten out of the previous fifteen years, he’s paid nothing at all in federal income taxes.

How? Despite publicly claiming to be a wildly successful businessman, Trump told the IRS he lost more money than he made for years. According to his tax returns, Trump has hundreds of millions of dollars in debt.

No wonder he was trying to keep his tax returns a secret!

This man has been running a con against the American people, tricking them into believing he could run our country like one of his businesses, all the while paying little to nothing in taxes while living the high life off the taxpayer’s dime.

Like Cory said the other day:

First, we must vote this man out of office.

Then, we must change a tax system so deeply flawed that he could get away with all of this.

Tonight is the first 2020 presidential debate, and tomorrow is our final FEC end-of-quarter deadline of this election. We’re in a pivotal moment, and we must do everything we can to remove Trump from the White House and start fixing what’s broken.

If you’re in a position to help, please rush $10 or whatever you can to support Cory, help us flip the Senate, and take back the White House in five short weeks.
