I’ve seen a lot in my life, and I can say without exaggeration that this election may be the most consequential in our nation’s history.
Minnesota has long been a reliable state for Democratic presidential candidates, but that may be in jeopardy this year. After President Trump came within 1.5 points of winning Minnesota in 2016, he has made flipping us red a singular focus of his reelection campaign.
We cannot let that happen. Not only would we face another four years of Donald Trump, Minnesota Republicans echoing his divisive brand of politics could win complete control of Minnesota's Legislature. They'd have even more power to undermine Governor Walz and our One Minnesota values.
Friends, that’s why I wanted to write to you today. If we’re going to rise to meet this moment, we must do it together, and we have no time to waste.
Governor Walz's final end of quarter deadline before Election Day is coming up tomorrow night, and it's critical he has the resources to keep fighting for all of us. His campaign team tells me they're still more than $12,300 short of their $50,000 goal.
