Anonymous,

The Trump administration has gutted protections for the world's largest intact temperate rainforest -- opening it up to clear-cut logging.

With this new rollback, the Tongass National Forest and its trees older than America itself lie unprotected from chainsaws, roadbuilding and mining projects. Previously, more than half of the 16.7 million acres that make up the Tongass were protected.

So we're preparing to take the Trump administration to court.

When our country's public lands are under threat, we rise to defend them -- and that's exactly when we need your support the most. Will you make a donation today to help us defend the Tongass?

There's a reason that these protections are called the Roadless Rule. A forest carpeted with moss and roamed by bears, wolves and other unique creatures is no place for a road. There are many incredible places we're working to protect all over the country, but right now, the Tongass needs our help.

Campaigns like this take resources to win. When you donate, you make our campaigns to protect wild, unique places like the Tongass possible. Will you make a donation before tomorrow's midnight deadline to help us reach our goal of $25,000?

We know that special places like the Tongass are too precious to sacrifice for logging and the destructive roads that go with it. And when they're threatened, they deserve our protection.

Thank you,

Hannah Collazo
State Director
