BlackSpot Collective Campaign: #ReOccupy

Hey Jammer,

Think about this . . . The climate is turning toxic. COVID-19's body-count is ratcheting up. Police are murdering civilians. Homegrown, meme-peddling terrorists are taking to the streets. Nation-states succumbing to corruption are failing. And a vacuum of adequate leadership is exacerbating every one of these threats.

To address the illnesses pervading American society, we need new hands on the levers of power. And though the U.S. is being fast outpaced by its chief rival, right now it is still the biggest player in the game. To counter the multiple species-wide hazards humanity now faces, the U.S. must avail itself of its unparalleled international sway — and wield it for the global good. Before it's too late.

But it's plain to everyone that, currently, American democracy is far from up to these historic tasks. To pass muster, it'll take nothing less than new tenants in the White House.

The right is full of gusto . . . we on the left are always playing defence. If Trump plays his cynical game to the hilt and really does refuse to leave, then, as in Belarus and many other countries around the world, it will fall on us, the People, to turn up in massive numbers and set things right.

How can we possibly achieve that?

A million activists descending on Washington for a totally non-violent carnivalesque play-jazz siege on the White House feels like a pretty fine option.

Co-opted by Capitalism: Michael Moore's Planet of the Humans
Earth Day’s fiftieth anniversary, the day Moore's latest documentary premiered, marked a strange celebration for Breitbart readers and climate-change deniers. A week later, Yale Climate Connections warned that the film "peddles dangerous climate denial." Naomi Klein and Bill McKibben each slammed it. What has got both sides of the divide so worked up?

The Pulse: Welcome to the Machine

Welcome to the Machine
Social media is ubiquitous. And it is facing mounting scrutiny due to the societal harms it not only allows but, by design, encourages. Even Netflix is sounding the alarm with its new documentary, "The Social Dilemma," in which tech-industry insiders and outside observers explain social media's greatest inherent evil: its unparalleled capacity to make people depressed, angry, ignorant, and divided.
