Hurricane Dorian has passed, and I hope that this message finds you well as our state begins the long process of recovery. It is devastating to see yet another hurricane damage so many of our communities, but I am confident that the people of South Carolina will come together and rebuild.

In case you missed it, while our state was in a crisis, my opponent was on a trip in Europe with Lindsey Graham ([link removed]) .

The people of South Carolina deserve better. Like many of you, I am incredibly disappointed in our state's leadership, and I believe that it is time for major change.

Year after year, South Carolina is devastated by major hurricanes, and I am tired of our leaders acting like this is a coincidence. Our climate is changing, and if we don't do something about it, this problem is only going to get worse.

I'm ready to take my fight against climate change to Congress, and I hope you will have my back.
