The truth is that the races we're investing in will affect the next decade of progress. In 2010, Republicans used their overwhelming majorities in state legislatures to heavily manipulate the maps in their own favor, and we've been dealing with the fallout ever since. It's crucial that we make sure the maps are fair this time.

That's the purpose of the NDRC: To defeat GOP map manipulators and invest in the races that will tip the balance in favor of fair maps when redistricting happens again next year. We're the only organization focused exclusively on that goal -- and with your help, we've made a lot of progress since we started in 2017.

But it all comes down to November. This fall's elections are our final chance to get Democrats to the redistricting table, and we're targeting 10 key states. We've already invested more than $2.5 million in 2020 -- but one Republican organization plans to raise $125 million in down-ballot races, so we need to keep going.
