I also attended Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in Houston, where I graduated with an Associates of Applied Sciences. My wife is Deserae and together we have three children: Marissa, Aryah, and Xavier. My passion has always been servanthood. Currently, I am a Technician at Los Alamos National Laboratory, a funeral director at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory and serving as a City Councilor District 4 in Española. I am a New Mexican native, graduate of New Mexico State University, resident of Santa Fe since late 1980 and have raised my family here. I am a professional engineer retired from the New Mexico Interstate Stream Commission working throughout New Mexico and the Southwest. I have served our community as a volunteer youth sports coach, a deacon and the Chairman of the Friends of NRA of Santa Fe.
