We’ve been messaging you a lot about our final quarterly fundraising deadline of this election, so I want to reach out real quick and talk about why we are pushing so hard to hit this goal.

As our team’s campaign manager, I have to make a lot of decisions — from deciding how to spend our paid media budget, how much to invest in digital organizing (a boatload!), and how we plan to get Cal’s message in front of persuadable voters in the closing weeks of this election.

It’s a lot to juggle. I’m the first to admit that — but you make it so much easier to make these important decisions with your generous donations.

You see, the reason we’re pushing hard on this particular FEC deadline is twofold: First, I have to make a lot of tough budgeting decisions in the final days of this election, and every penny counts. Second, everyone will be looking to our public FEC report to see how strong our campaign is and any weakness could invite more attacks from our opponent and his corporate backers.
