Friends,
Earlier this month, a federal court in New York blocked the Trump administration’s attempts to exclude undocumented immigrants from the 2020 Census – ensuring they will have representation in congressional redistricting.
While this is a crucial victory for immigrant rights, Trump has made it clear he’s not done attacking our immigration system.
Despite the Supreme Court ruling in favor of DACA, the Trump administration has cut protections for immigrant childhood arrivals. Trump and his allies have made it nearly impossible for immigrants to obtain asylum, causing a crisis at the border with hundreds of immigrant children locked in cages. And now, he’s using the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to reject thousands of visas and green cards.
All in his bid to “make America great again.”
We have the chance to vote Trump out of office, reverse his xenophobic policies, and protect our nation’s immigrants in November. But last election, Americans were split on this key issue and, according to PBS, nearly 50% of Americans approved of Trump’s immigration policies -- that’s why it’s crucial we know where YOU stand:
Do you approve of Trump’s immigration policy?
