Your support means everything during the pandemic

Dear John,
Did you know that today, September 28, is International Safe Abortion Day? It’s an annual day of action to support the right of every person to have an abortion safely, without facing stigma, discrimination or legal prosecution. During the COVID-19 pandemic, this right has become even harder to exercise for many women around the world.
That’s why we’re focused—today and every day—on the solutions that will ensure women still have access to safe abortion. We’re building telehealth programs that provide women with information and support to safely manage an abortion with pills in the comfort of their own home. We’re training health workers how to safely continue providing clinic-based care during the pandemic. And we’re ensuring communities know that abortion and contraceptive services are still available—and that infection-prevention measures are in place.
In Mozambique’s Nampula Province, Ipas worked with the local health system to train almost 1,000 community leaders and key professionals on how to prevent the spread of COVID-19—and how to access safe abortion and contraceptive care.
We can’t do this work without you. For International Safe Abortion Day on September 28, join us and donate $28 to ensure that all women and girls can make their own reproductive health decisions, even during the pandemic. Or, support reproductive freedom year-round by committing to $28 a month.
