Hello --

I am going to ask you to make a contribution to my Senate campaign today, but I want to explain why this is so important first:

After Wednesday's FEC deadline expires, we're going to report to the public how much we've raised and from how many individual donations. All eyes will be on that report.

More than anything, I want people who look at our report to see what I see: a strong, grassroots campaign funded by a whole lot of everyday folks who are fed up with Washington politicians like our opponent.

Beyond that, I want to make sure our campaign is in a strong position to win in the final weeks of this election. Right now there are five "toss-up" Senate races and ours is one of the most competitive, and that means everything we do matters.

So if you can, would you consider donating $10 or more to our campaign before the FEC deadline on Wednesday? We can make our government work more like Montana next year, but we have to win:

DONATE: [link removed]

We can beat back the corporate special interests in Montana again and overcome the wave of outside spending pouring into our state. If -- and only if -- enough folks like you step up to ensure we reach our goal in time.

Thanks in advance for stepping up.

-- Steve
