Tell your U.S. Senators: No confirmation before Inauguration Day

John–

On Saturday, President Trump named Judge Amy Coney Barrett as his nominee for the Supreme Court. She is a gun rights extremist who has no place on the Supreme Court. Tell your U.S. Senators: No confirmation before Inauguration Day.

With Trump's nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, this fight is no longer just about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell trying to ram through a confirmation hearing before Election Day. We're now also fighting to keep someone who poses an extraordinary risk to gun safety laws off of the country's highest court.

Here's what you need to know about Judge Amy Coney Barrett:

  • In a case in 2019, Amy Coney Barrett showed that she believes people convicted of serious felonies should be able to own firearms, yet shouldn't be allowed to vote.
  • If the U.S. Senate confirms Amy Coney Barrett, the Supreme Court could adopt the gun lobby's radical views of the Second Amendment, putting hundreds of life-saving gun laws—like background checks on all gun sales—at risk.
  • An estimated 145,000 Americans have been killed by guns since President Trump took office. A Supreme Court dominated by the NRA's agenda would make that situation even worse.

John, if the U.S. Senate confirms Amy Coney Barrett as a Supreme Court Justice, it would be a dream come true for the NRA. And it would be a terrible choice for the safety of the American people. Tell your U.S. Senators: No confirmation before Inauguration Day.

Thank you for being a part of this movement.
