This is a long email about our efforts to win the Virginia legislature in 2019. Please take a moment to read the entire thing.

John --

Since launching in 2017, Let America Vote has sought to create political consequences for politicians who suppress eligible Americans’ right to vote. That means identifying pro-democracy candidates and pouring grassroots resources into helping them win elections.

Our method has proven to be successful. In 2017, we helped elect a Democratic governor in Virginia. In the Virginia House of Delegates, nine of the 10 candidates we supported won their races, and seven of our candidates beat Republican incumbents.

Our victories prove that our model works. And we’re ready to implement it this year in Virginia. But we’re relying on grassroots resources to make it happen.

So John, can you join our team as a grassroots donor with a $5 or $10 donation today to help Democrats win in Virginia this year?

So what’s the LAV model?

Simply put, it’s grassroots organizing. Face-to-face contact, real conversations with voters, boots-on-the-ground organizing.

In order to provide the biggest value for Virginia candidates, we worked hand-in-hand with the Coordinated Campaign so they wouldn’t have to expend resources where we were working. And in the final stretch before Election Day, our interns were on the ground in Virginia to provide help to the Coordinated Campaign in a much-needed area.

From June through November of 2017, we had over 130 interns and numerous volunteers who knocked on more than 194,000 doors, and made over 31,000 phone calls to voters.

But the fight isn’t just grassroots organizing on the ground, it’s online too.

That means wherever you are, if you care about the fight for the right to vote, you can join us too! In 2017, we had nearly 45,000 contributions online that helped make our boots-on-the-ground campaign such a success.

So if you want to help elect even MORE Democrats in Virginia this year, then chip in $5 or $10 now and join our movement →

So what is LAV doing in 2019?

Great question!

Let America Vote endorsed a slate of 32 voting rights champions in their races for the Virginia General Assembly.

We’ll be turning out the vote for these candidates this November to help elect voting rights champions across Virginia.

Our boots on the ground model is ready to keep working.

Knocking on doors, phone calls at home, and online donations: that’s how we’ll ensure we help elect a Democratic majority in Virginia this November.

It’s a hard fight, but we’re ready to hit the ground running.

If you are too, then we need you to support our work by making a donation today:

Let America Vote is committed to creating political consequences for politicians who make it harder to vote. Our boots-on-the-ground teams in Nevada, Tennessee, Iowa, Georgia and New Hampshire knock doors and talk to voters every day to help elect voting-rights champions. This year we've already knocked on 200,000 doors -- and we're nowhere close to slowing down.

This message was sent to [email protected] because you are a vital part of our team. We're able to protect access to the ballot box because of grassroots supporters like yourself. Since we started knocking doors last year in Virginia, we've received more than 90,000 online contributions -- and our average donation is $24.

We can't win the argument over voting rights alone, that's where you come in. If you'd like to join our fight to protect voting rights with a grassroots donation, please click here. Together we can create political consequences for vote suppressors.
