This election could help decide elections for the next decade.
Why? Redistricting. In 2010, Republicans swept into power in state legislatures around the country, and then, they drew rigged Congressional districts after the 2010 Census.
That’s why, over the years to follow, Democrats received millions more votes than Republicans in Congressional elections, but Republicans controlled Congress after several elections.
But here’s the good news: state legislatures will redraw the districts in 2021. So, we need to win big at the state level in November so Democrats can draw fair congressional districts.
We need to do everything we can to support Democrats running for state legislature in key states because the next decade of elections depends on it.
