Managing Nonprofit Earned Income: A Timely Update with Kate Barr

Earned income is an essential revenue strategy for many nonprofit organizations. In 2018, NPQ brought you a powerful multi-part series called Mastering the Nonprofit Business Model, which included a classic session by Kate Barr, CEO of Propel Nonprofits, on the particular dynamics of earned income: how it works, the management and leadership requirements, the unique effects on organizational culture, and more.
Given the unprecedented challenges 2020 poses to nonprofit earned income approaches, we have asked Kate to come back and discuss what the sector is learning about managing and innovating around earned income in a Covid-19 and economic recession context.
We'll pull key elements of her 2018 webinar and then be in live dialogue about what's changed, what remains true, and real-life strategies for maximizing earned income in today's complex environment. We'll also have time for live Q&A.
