Swing Left

Hey Swing Left,

The New York Times finally got a hold of Donald Trump’s tax returns. And what did they find? The alleged billionaire only paid $750 in federal taxes in 2015 and 2016.

Let’s put that in perspective:

  • If you’ve ever made more than $10,000 a year, you probably paid more in federal taxes than Donald Trump.
  • If you got a COVID relief check or collected unemployment insurance this year, you probably paid more in federal taxes than Donald Trump.
  • If you take prescription drugs, you probably paid more for them than Donald Trump paid in federal taxes.

This is just further proof of what we’ve already seen: Trump is a crook and he shouldn’t be in the White House.

Invest in our democracy by helping sweep the GOP out of office up and down the ballot. We’ve identified the highest priority races and phone banks that need our support. Help us reach voters where it will make the most difference.

Trump mismanaged his business just like he’s mismanaging this country, and Republicans are letting him get away with it. This November, we can fire each and every one of them.

Thanks,

Ethan, Catherine, Tori, and the Swing Left Team

PS: Swing Left volunteers are crushing it with grassroots fundraising, so we’ve updated the Immediate Impact Fund to include a fresh slate of Senate and state legislative races where Democrats are close in polling, but need to close fundraising gaps with their Republican opponents. Your donation will go directly to the candidates on this page.
