Friend — we needed to make sure you saw this update. Last week we reached out with the troubling news that Trump has gained ground and is now ahead in both Florida and Arizona.
These are states where Biden had been leading.
Since we reached out, supporters from all over the country have pitched in to help turn things around. Donors have put up a pool to triple match every contribution. This is important — our research is showing that the environmental movement is the key to taking down Trump in these states.
But Wednesday is the FEC filing deadline for September — and we're $28,139 short of where we need to be. After Wednesday, our campaign teams sit down to figure out exactly what final get-out-the-vote operations will look like, and the truth is that it all comes down to budget.
We're running get-out-the-vote and vote-by-mail operations in both states — and it's working. Every day, we're reaching thousands of environmental voters, and making sure they have the information they need to get their ballots in. This is a moment where we need to scale up —
but if we come up short now, we might need to do the opposite.
Please, friend — we need your help. We're still $28,139 short of our $100,000 goal. The monthly FEC deadline is Wednesday at midnight, and every contribution is being tripled right now. Whatever you can afford to contribute — even if it's $3 — will make a difference. »
VOTE-BY-MAIL CAMPAIGN STATUS:
GOAL: $70,000
PROGRESS: 67% to goal
Every contribution before the Sept 30 FEC deadline will be tripled to scale up our plans for vote-by-mail and other efforts targeting environmental swing voters

This goal matters, friend — it's a big one. Florida and Arizona are states that could easily be decided by hundreds of votes. Win them, and they could swing the election.
Come up short — and lose these states? That would haunt us.
More than 200,000 people have now died of COVID-19 in the US. Fires continue to burn in much of the West. The truth is, these disasters aren't impacting all communities in the same way. The legacy of structural discrimination has limited access to quality health care and pushed low-income, Black, Indigenous, and communities of color into jobs that cause them to be disproportionately exposed — and more likely to die — from COVID-19. These same communities are also now facing horrific situations due to the wildfires.
These disasters may have happened without Trump, but the failed response lies entirely at his feet. His approach:
Denial of responsibility, denial of justice, and denial of reality.
This is our chance to take him down, and we have a real shot — I promise. Right now, our teams are aggressively targeting environmental voters in swing states, voters who simply haven't heard much about Trump's environmental record (
hell, in Florida, he's arguing that he's the environmental choice!).
As soon as they hear the truth, their votes shift in a serious way — generating a swing of 20 points away from Trump.
Our strategy is working. We just need to scale it up.
Please — we need your help. Make an emergency contribution to LCV Victory Fund before September's FEC deadline this Wednesday — every dollar will be tripled, and even $3 is enough to make a difference »
Thank you, thank you, thank you, friend. We have a real shot at stopping Trump this time, and you're the reason it's possible.
