Friend, On Tuesday, North Carolina’s Ninth District gets a do-over—and Dan McCready needs our help to get the job done. Here's the backstory: Ten months ago, McCready’s opponent resorted to outright fraud and dirty tricks to try and steal the election from him—and local Republican party officials knew about it. In fact, they knew about the possibility of fraud months in advance, but they refused to stand up for North Carolina’s voters. Thankfully, they were caught. McCready is running again (this time against a new opponent), and he’s leaving nothing to chance—his campaign plans to knock 100,000 doors before Election Day on Tuesday. We need McCready to win this. The outcome of this race will send a message that we won’t stand for tactics that undermine our democracy. Right now it’s neck and neck—can you chip in now to split a contribution between our campaigns and help McCready win this on Tuesday? The contrast between Dan McCready and his opponent Dan Bishop couldn’t be starker. McCready is a supporter of affordable health care and a strong education system (not to mention a fellow Marine)—exactly the kind of leader that NC-09 deserves and that we need in Washington. McCready’s opponents will spare no expense to try and defeat him. That’s why we need every single person who can to step up and help fund their get-out-the-vote efforts this weekend. This is our opportunity to send a message: True, honorable public servants will win out over corrupt, party-first politicians every time. Thanks,
