Earlier this week, we asked you to stand up for our democracy and commit to voting for a representative government that works for us rather than against us. The GOP’s determination to fill the Supreme Court’s vacant seat -- despite objections from a growing majority of American voters -- proves this commitment to our democracy will be crucial come November.

Donald Trump has blatantly undermined our democracy for political gain. Over the last few months, he has waged a war against science to divide our country during a national public health crisis. He has preemptively contested his defeat, attacking safe vote-by-mail initiatives by claiming, without evidence, that they will lead to voter fraud. And now, he is pushing forward a lifetime Supreme Court nomination to replace RBG despite national opposition -- all with the help of his Republican loyalists.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are determined to honor Justice Ginsburg’s last wish that her seat be filled by the next president. Harris has said: “the stakes of this election couldn't be higher. Millions of Americans are counting on us to win and protect the Supreme Court -- for their health, for their families, and for their rights."

But the GOP is determined to overrun our democratic institutions with far-right Republican men who will advance Trump’s agenda -- and CNN reports that the Supreme Court battle could give Republican candidates a boost across the country.

Now more than ever, we need to fund women candidates who are running in key battleground states and engage as many voters as we can, so we can exile Trump’s far-right agenda from power in the next few weeks -- but right now we don’t have the funds we need to do that.
