Our fight to restore our democracy has become all the more urgent in recent days.

In a stunning display of hypocrisy, Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell are rushing to confirm a Supreme Court nominee before the next presidential inauguration.

They’re brazenly reversing their position from 2016 when McConnell refused to even have a hearing on President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland because the vacancy opened in February of an election year.

The stakes in this election just went from high to off the charts.

The outcome this November will affect everything from the future of the Supreme Court, to the future of the Affordable Care Act and its protections for people with pre-existing conditions, to the future of Roe vs. Wade, and so much more.

As I run for re-election to the Senate, Donald Trump continues to invoke my name in racist fearmongering attacks.

Meanwhile, Republicans are spending tens of millions of dollars to take back the Speaker’s gavel and reclaim the House majority that we fought so hard to secure.

Next year, I hope to return to a Senate where Mitch McConnell is no longer Majority Leader.
