“This is an exciting opportunity for these young scholars” says Sharon M. Wong, National President of OCA. “In this partnership with Charter, we are able to identify future leaders in the telecommunications workforce as well as create spaces of mentoring and leadership development. Through programs like this, we are able to tackle multiple issues for the Asian American and Pacific Islander community: closing the digital divide, AAPI representation in corporations, and increasing educational opportunities. We look forward to what these students will accomplish in the future.”
OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national civil rights organization dedicated to improving the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs).
